I’m Andrea Chong, a fashion lover, blogger, and interior designer. I am passionate about travel and inspiring others with my passion for fashion, interior, and design. I love traveling for the sense of discovery and imagination it brings. I’ve been traveling since I was a kid, and since then, it has been a constant source of inspiration. I live in San Diego, CA, and am a licensed interior designer. I have a passion for interior design and povr for people. I love exploring the different interiors of hotels, resorts, villas and residences. I also love finding inspiration in fashion, mainly travel fashion, as it’s something I am passionate about.

When and why did you start blogging?

I used to blog on my personal website, but it wasn’t taking off as I wanted it to. I then decided to start my blog as an online diary where I could blog more about my passion and experiences. I started my blog in January 2015. I wanted to share more of my designs and experiences as an interior designer. I enjoy blogging because it helps me to connect with people on a more personal level as I’m able to take them through my design process and show them what goes into designing a space. Capture memories and it’s a way of sharing my ideas and inspirations.

What inspires you to write?

Travel is one of the biggest things that inspire me to write. I love discovering new destinations and finding out myself how they are different from other places. Interiors, books and traveling is what inspired me to start writing in the first place. And food, of course! Nothing gives me more satisfaction than a good meal shared with family or friends under good cherry blossom trees with amazing views, on a footpath that has suddenly transformed into an amazing dining scene! Travel Fashion can give one an experience like this, so I love writing about travel fashion it’s definitely something I feel very passionate about.

I love traveling and exploring new cultures. This has inspired me to mix and match different textures, colors and patterns from around the world to create a unique style. How do you think blogging has helped or changed you?

What did it change about me? Honestly not much. There are some people out there that wouldn’t allow themselves to be a baker without the cake blog and some other bloggers that can’t write their blogs without the prompts, but I feel like I’m different in that blogging is more of like an expository of me just being how I am naturally. My blog has definitely become more me over two years of blogging, and on occasion I’ll write it feels like I am living someone else’s way of life or is happening to someone else instead but aside from those circumstances.

How does one build a fashion blog?

You must have a passion for what you’re writing about and a genuine interest in helping others achieve the same passion. This will be crucial in helping to build your blog’s following and trust among your readers. As well as this, the content you share on your blog is just as important. You can’t just post whatever you like, you must have a purpose behind each post. In addition to this, you also need to have a great visual style. This will help to add to your posts and will also help you to get noticed by search engines like Google. To keep your followers interested and coming back for more, you need to create a strong community on your blog. This will help to engage your followers and to get them to ask questions and to share their opinions on your content.

How do you define travel?

You should definitely have a travel bucket list. Realistically it may take some of us multiple lifetimes to tick off everything on our bucket lists. Being at that place where everyone’s dream destinations become realities is refreshing and worth every long journey you make to go there. Whether it’s trekking in the Andes Mountains or flying business class in I’m on the plane or just dropping into a cafe in perfectly rustic Australia, there is something exhilarating about knowing you’re doing what we always wanted to do but couldn’t muster up enough courage or courage until now – So keep clicking that board and keep finding inspiration, Stay Openminded & Keep Learning & It’s Never Too Late Yeah? 🙂
